We went sailing on the good ship Fortissimo 2 in the NYYC 175th Anniversary Regatta.  Thank you, skipper!

Saturday as we rigged the new boat, I was sent up the mast to tape the shrouds.

Saturday we finished boat prep on the new boat, then practiced.

Oh, we christened the new boat, for good luck, health, and fortune.

We sought some expert guidance on how to sail it fast.

While wandering the streets of Newport, I saw a pig.  A real one.

Scenes en route to the starting line.

Some pre-race tuning.

Racing, Monday.  In second place, only one boat ahead of us, 19 boats behind us.  That was a good race, we finished 6th.

Day ? -- at the YC party tent.

Guess I need a better selfie stick, or something.  Better haircut?

We observed the flag officer's on-the-water parade.

I took a batch of crew shots on Saturday (final day).  Trevor had departed us, but we picked up Kenny.

I have too many chins.  Gotta try photoshop or something.

Headed in after our final race.

Thanks, skipper, for an exciting week.  We didn't finish on the podium, but we got faster as the week progressed.
